Egg donation is a great treatment for infertility that is related to advanced maternal age or to a premature decline in ovarian function, so at some point, the ovaries become resistant to the fertility drugs and they cannot be made to produce good healthy eggs. In this circumstance, couples can still conceive. Simply a young woman is given fertility drugs so that she produces eggs. They are mixed with husband’s sperm. Embryos are produced and then these embryos are transferred into the wife so that she can carry the pregnancy.
